- Cooked whole grain pasta with tomato sauce and parmesan cheese;
- Whole grain pita bread wedges with hummus or apple butter;
- Yogurt with melon;
- Peanut butter and jelly (fresh fruit preserves) sandwich on whole grain or sprouted bread;
- One or two hard-boiled eggs with cucumber slices;
- Strawberries and grapes or orange sections;
- Trail mix—raisins, dates, nuts, cranberries, dried banana slices;
