Instead of soda or juice, pack bottled water, iced herb teas, or sparkling water. You may also dilute juices by mixing 1/4 cup juice into a bottle of water.

  1. Cooked whole grain pasta with tomato sauce and parmesan cheese;
  2. Whole grain pita bread wedges with hummus or apple butter;
  3. Yogurt with melon;
  4. Peanut butter and jelly (fresh fruit preserves) sandwich on whole grain or sprouted bread;
  5. One or two hard-boiled eggs with cucumber slices;
  6. Strawberries and grapes or orange sections;
  7. Trail mix—raisins, dates, nuts, cranberries, dried banana slices;
  8. Turkey,lettuce, tomato, cheese wrap;
  9. Couscous with chicken;
  10. Celery with dressing or peanut butter as a dip.
